Mural in Puerto Rico

I began this mural in May, 2022 while I was on vacation for a week in Puerto Rico. During that week, I finished the main outline and some details. I then returned to Puerto Rico in September for a week on my own, just to finish this mural.

This is the first mural I’ve ever painted, and the biggest amount of surface space I’ve ever worked with. While this was definitely challenging, I am so glad I had the opportunity to paint this mural. In total, it took me about 10 days, working about 9 hours a day. Because this is an outdoor mural in Puerto Rico, it was very hot outside, but I still loved every moment of working on this. Being able to stay there alone elevated my experience; the environment was peaceful, relaxing and exactly what I needed at that time. I realized how much I really enjoyed traveling alone and I hope to have many more opportunities to do so in the future.

I would love to paint more murals in my future, and instead of limiting myself to one style of art, I’d like to my options as open as possible.
